Privacy Policy: Squishbound
Effective date: 5 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Squishbound (“the game”, “we”, “us”) handles information.
Squishbound does not require an account. It has no online leaderboard or cloud save, and it does not use Firebase. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.
Information the game uses
1. Gameplay data stored on your device. Squishbound saves your completed and unlocked rooms, Normal and Hard best move counts, star balance, tutorial progress, current room and active attempt, helper use, and the timestamps needed to enforce rewarded-ad cooldowns. This information is stored in the game’s local app storage. We do not receive it.
2. Settings stored on your device. Your sound, vibration, reduced-motion, high-contrast, larger-text, and tutorial preferences are also saved locally so the game remembers your choices.
3. Advertising. Squishbound uses Google AdMob to show interstitial ads and optional rewarded ads. Rewarded ads can award stars in the Store or unlock a route-hint viewing after you choose to watch and complete the ad. Google and its advertising partners may process information such as your IP address and IP-derived coarse location, device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, app interactions, and diagnostic or performance data.
Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) presents privacy choices before ads are requested. On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt asks before the game permits tracking across other companies’ apps and websites. Declining tracking does not block gameplay or rewarded features; ads may still appear without IDFA-based cross-app tracking.

Google and its partners process data under their own policies.
Children
Squishbound is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
Your choices
- Consent choices: Where available, open Privacy Choices in the game’s Settings to review or change the choices shown by Google UMP.
- iOS tracking: Change Squishbound’s tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Rewarded ads: Watching a rewarded ad is optional. You can continue playing and earn stars through gameplay without choosing one.
- Local data: Deleting Squishbound, rather than offloading it, removes its active local data from your device. A device backup controlled by your operating system may retain a copy until that backup is deleted or expires.
Data retention
Local gameplay data and settings remain until they are overwritten or you delete the game. Advertising, consent, and diagnostic data are retained by Google and its advertising partners according to their policies and applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if Squishbound or the services it uses change. We will show the new effective date at the top of this page.
